At the​ heart of the Christmas season Ananda continues a tradition started by Yogananda by hosting an all-day meditation. This is a time to step back from the busy holiday preparations, and truly focus on the Christ Consciousness which is strongest this time of year.
​Yogananda encouraged people to celebrate the Spiritual Christmas before celebrating the Social Christmas by having an 8-​HR ​meditation.
​Though its length may seem intimidating, people are surprised at how easily the soul welcomes periods of deep inner silence.
Chanting, music, inspirational readings and recordings of Yogananda are interspersed with the meditation periods.   Midway through there is a break (about 20 minutes) for stretching, having a light snack.  Join us for this inspirational holiday weekend.  Let me know if you would like to attend and stay at the RI Center.
