Ananda New York City is very excited to offer Ananda Yoga Sadhana featuring Energization Exercises, Ananda Yoga with its unique affirmations, and ending with deep meditation. Classes will be lead by Cathleen (Amala) Elliott.

Meet Amala

In Amala’s words, “My practice never begins or ends. Everything I choose in life, is my practice. When I stand up from my mat, I continue to practice. I don’t distinguish “one practice” from another. I give all of it, my all… All of it, is my life.”

In 2019, Amala completed her 200-hour yoga training under Betsy Kase: Integral Yoga trained, RYT-500, C-IAYT, Founder & Director of Yoga Haven, NY. After graduation, she quickly began pursuing her 500hr YTT, Ananda Level 2 Yoga Teacher Training and Ananda Level 2 Meditation Teacher training. She is currelty enrolled in: The 860hr, Ananda Yoga Therapy Training, IAYT Accredited Program. These trainings at Ananda are taking her to the next level as well as, merging her personal-practice with her teaching-practice. “If I am going to teach, I should teach what I practice.” Amala will always be a student of yoga. Feeling ever-grateful for what her teachers have given and continue to give her and ever-joyful to share, everything she has received.
